You’ll be pampered in the comfort and charm of the “Rock House” – leave all your cares behind as we take care of everything! We are definitely not your ordinary Bed and Breakfast! It is our goal to give you the opportunity to truly experience all that the awesome Payson Rim Country has to offer - making your stay a truly pleasurable, unique and memorable experience! Our setting and views are unbelievable - we are located on the banks of the East Verde River - on a private road (with no visible neighbors - other than the abundant wildlife) surrounded by Tonto National Forest - the air is crisp & clean, stars shine brightly and you will fall asleep to the sound of the gently flowing East Verde River, no noise or traffic - yet we are only 5 minutes outside of “Payson Proper” and within 12-15 miles of Pine & Strawberry.

The Verde River Rock House is an extremely private, relaxing and personal Bed and Breakfast. During your stay YOU and your guest(s) will be our exclusive guest(s) -- Although our guest quarters features 2 + bedrooms & a private massage studio - we cater to one client at a time to guarantee you complete privacy! There are no guests staying in adjacent rooms (unless they are with your party) - Your accommodations are a PRIVATE SUITE with a Den (with fireplace) and creek side deck (with comfortable gliders, twin hammocks and gas grill). Amenities include a therapeutic Jacuzzi hot tub/ spa, Full size 4 person Canadian Cedar Sauna, private fireplace, outdoor fire pit (weather permitting), Private guest Den features a 42” Flat Screen HD television (premium satellite 250 channel programming including 31 movie channels), Blue-ray DVD player and an extensive movie library for your exclusive use, Guest Gas BBQ (you are also welcome to use the Kitchen area), We feature soft premium linens & SPA Robes and Slippers, Gilchrist & Soames Spa products, In Suite Telephone (free domestic long distance), Wireless High Speed Cable access (guest loner laptop available), Fax/printing services available and courtesy fishing gear on premises (the East Verde River is stocked by Fish and Game so you can literally fish in our back yard). We can also arrange a heavenly & relaxing massage by a licensed Massage/Physical Therapist on site (at the rate of $80 per hour with advance notice) and a complete menu of SPA services available on site or in Payson.

Our rates start at $199 per night single occupancy - $235 for double occupancy - with a special rate for each additional guest in your party over 2 (we reserve the right to limit the total number of guests) - our rates are inclusive complimentary evening hors d’oeuvres and beverages (alcoholic or non - your choice) on your private creek side deck in the evening, complimentary snacks and beverages provided 24/7 and a full breakfast in the morning. On occasion we run mid-week special pricing - “packages” or last minute “hot deals” - please feel free to call to check on rates and availability. We also offer a multitude of additional services (at an additional cost) including additional meals (lunch, dinners - picnics) and rentals - hourly or daily ATV (Yamaha Rhino) or Harley Rental (to qualified licensed drivers & subject to availability), Mountain Bikes and a Whimsical Vintage Schwinn Tandem Bike (Tandem Bike is best to be ridden in town - we can deliver it for you - with advance notice), pedal/paddle boat rental available to fish from or just lazily drift the East Verde River in. Off Road Jeep Tours are also available.

Reservation Deposit:

We request a fifty (50%) deposit at the time reservations are made. Reservation deposits can be made with check or credit card payment.

Cancellations:

Because of our intimate and unique accommodations, and the fact that we book only one set of guests at a time, we are required to charge guests the full cost of their stay (plus the cost of any special services ordered) if you fail to arrive as reserved with no notice of intent to cancel.

Provided further your deposit will be refunded or applied towards a future stay if we are notified of your need to cancel (by telephone at 602-696-0213) at least seven (7) days prior to the date of your reservation (14 days for holiday reservations) and/or if we are able to re-book the reserved dates – less a $20 credit card handling fee and travel agent commission, if applicable.

Rather you are looking to simply get out of the Phoenix Heat, wanting to explore and hike the Rim Country (we are approximately 3 miles from Tonto Natural Bridge) or want to Rest/Relax while being pampered & spoiled - you’ll find it all at "The Rock House!" We look forward to hearing from you!
